Another case of Fuel Theft!

Leamington Spa Courier recently reported that four people were arrested in April following the theft of fuel from 2 lorries in Ryton-on-Dunsmore.

Police were called out in the early hours of the morning after the thieves were spotted siphoning the fuel, the lorries were parked off the A45 in a layby.

The four men were arrested and taken into custody. Rugby Police say a large quantity of fuel had been siphoned from both of the lorries. This case of fuel theft highlights the need to take preventative measures against this crime.  Find out more about anti-syphoning devices from aide automotive.

North Wales Police Mis Fuel

The North Wales Police have been reported to mis fuel 26 vehicles even though preventive measures had been taken.

This demonstrates the only way to stop misfuelling is by using a device that stops diesel being put into petrol cars!

The April issue of Commercial Vehicle Workshop features aide automotive in an article explaining the new Health and Safety (offences) Act. The article talks about the new law and how the maximum penalty has increased to £20,000 from £5,000 and an imprisonment of up to 6 months. 

This new act emphasises the need for businesses to demonstrate that they have health and safety procedures in place. GasAlert – New Product From aide automotive

Increasingly thieves are using KO gases to immobilise drivers while the goods are removed and stolen, targeting overnight rest stops up and down the country drivers are sent into a into a much deeper slumber, incapacitating he or she for several hours.

The anonymousness of a remote parking area is welcomed by a growing number of unscrupulous burglars, which use narcotic gas to put their victims into a deep sleep to gain easy access to their cash, credit cards, ID cards, laptops, mobiles and most of all the trailers cargo! Don’t wake up to a disaster, be on the safe side with this Gas Alarm detector.

The GasAlert recognises all common narcotic gases regardless of whether they are based on ether, chloroform, butane, ethane or trichloroethane. The alarm is triggered as soon as it detects any hazardous substances in the air.

Caravan Publication Press For AirAlert

The May issue of Caravan has a article describing AirAlert the excellent tyre pressure monitoring device for cars, vans, motorhomes and commercial vehicles.

AirAlert is as a stand device or as an anti theft version, to install check the pressure of the tyre, once set to the correct pressure screw the AirAlert on to the valve, once on the AirAlert will be calibrated to the pressure of the tyre.

When AirAlert sees a drop of 4 PSI a distinctive blink will flash until the valve is removed, the pressure is reset and the AirAlert is returned to the valve.
