Diesel In AdBlue

May 13th, 2010

AdBlue is the registered trademark for AUS32 (Aqueous Urea Solution 32.5%) used to reduce emissions  from the exhaust of diesel motor vehicles. It’s a new concept in many vehicles.

Adblue vehicles are a concern in cases of misfuelling as they are highly susceptible to contamination. As little as 10ml of Oil present in a 70 litre fill can  cause irreversible damage.  There’s a misunderstanding that you cannot insert a diesel pump  in an AdBlue tank filler neck as they’re different sizes. However you merely have to insert the nozzle into the hole and the splash-back from the gun still goes into the tank and it’s enough to permanently damage the AdBlue.

Keep an eye out on aide automotive website for a new Adblue misfuelling device that is new to the market
