Following the increased interest in In Cab Camera’s from our customer base, aide automotive have also backed this up with a support service for those who require assistance in reporting footage for insurance claims.

On Board recording cameras are becoming an essential tool in vehicle incident evidence for vehicle operating companies, recent “Crash For Cash” scams have made the use of a camera an excellent tool in proving the scammers.

Dealing with claims and reporting the incident can be a time consuming trial and making sure  the correct information to win a claim is passed to the insurance company.

aide automotive can offer basic report or comprehensive analysis of all data with a full report acceptable to courts and insurance companies. Using data and video footage from the system, aide automotive can offer in depth Forensic analysis and the preparation of comprehensive reports, to assist in defending driving offences or disputed collision details.  This is via our own Expert Witness in this field and would include court appearances if required.  Whilst this is an additional cost service, this would usually be funded by insurance companies as it could drastically reduce their exposure to claims OR be reclaimed from the third party in settlement of a claim.

Matthew Burke of aide automotive said “Offering a support service to In Cab Truck Driver Camera’s is a positive way of helping our customers report on road incidents with confidence. Our service is a professional service carried out by respected personnel in the road incident sector.”

aide automotive ltd Introduce a Low Cost “Budget” In Cab Incident Camera

The DRaa100 is the latest In Cab Incident Camera from aide automotive ltd.

Following the success of the BlackVue DR350 we are now pleased to offer a new device for the commercial vehicle market that equals quality at an excellent price.

The DRaa100 Drive Recorder with its simple mounting bracket is designed for any vehicle.

Ideal for all applications such as Police, Ambulances, Fire Service, Couriers, Hauliers, Taxi, Fleet operators and Private Cars and many more.

It also features a “Motion Detection Mode” when parked. If an object or person comes into the field of view when the vehicle is parked, then the DRaa100 will save the file as an event file. This will assist when somebody damages a vehicle whilst parked (ideal on small vehicles).

The DRaa100 is not equipped with GPS, this in most cases is not a requirement for a Driver Recorder as tracking hardware can offer GPS data if analysing an incident.

With a basic software platform the DRaa100 is a quality product that would be accepted by insurance companies for road incident evidence.

Commenting on the Budget Camera Matthew Burke said “With this camera any driver is able to add the security of video evidence to any potential road incident, video footage is just simply inconclusive to claims and this camera is ideal for any user, truck drivers or car. An excellent product with a great low price!”

On Board recording cameras are becoming an essential tool in vehicle incident evidence for vehicle operating companies.

Ideal for all applications such as Truck & Bus operators, Law Enforcement, Hauliers, Taxi, Private Cars and much more.

A recent call to aide automotive where a customer’s van fleet had been targeted for “Crash For Cash” moved the customer in the use of In Cab Camera’s as a retro fit to the fleet.

The Customer stated “Having been targeted by these people we decided to fit these cameras as a protective measure against Crash For Cash claims, but we have also seen to full benefit of the camera to improve driver standards and inevitable road accidents.”

The Black Vue is easily installed in less than a few minutes in any vehicle, the Camera bracket with sticky pad can be adjusted to suit any window.

Black Vue Software When you remove the SD Card and plug it into the computer you can then simply analyse how the accident was occurred with the Road Eye software. This software will allow you to watch back on the event, collecting vital information about your speed and location. A built in Google Map will show you the journey on the road while on playback and will allow you to find your exact location.

Companies could see their insurance premiums double in a year due to  ‘crash for cash’ incidents, also it is stated that a majority of crashes and accidents that involve a fleets vehicles are not the company’s fault.

Cameras argue the case for the operator, rather than filling out paper claim forms a cameras evidence is non questionable. With insurance companies generally favour the cars in incidents the camera can put the blame in the correct place.

With more and more Duty Of Care and Safety requirements being put on business in today’s world an Incident Camera can have a positive effect on a safety record and possibly more importantly keeping vehicles on the road.
